LONG TERM BULLISH
SHORT TERM MINOR PULLBACK
(Update December 16: Despite the uptick today, the market wants to go lower. We may be able to buy good positions at sale prices.)
(Update December 13: The charts are telling us that the markets want to go lower. We may see some buying opportunities in the next week or two. At least thats the most likely probability.)
(New York Post) “My bookshelves sag with encyclopedic volumes arguing that America and the West are in decline. But proving that a picture is worth a thousand books, the “selfie” seen ’round the world ends the argument.”
It’s official — the government of the United States of Obama consists of boobs and bores and is led by a narcissist. It is no consolation that Great Britain joins us in racing to the bottom.
Yesterday we saw a significant pullback and we may be setting up for a buying opportunity. Investors are ‘taking profits’ as we approach the end of the year.
Momentum is Down in many of the positions that I am looking at and you should be prepared to buy. I have listed many potential purchases under “Core Portfolio” at the top of this page. Do NOT buy until we see lower prices and I will make suggestions if/when you get the right price. Patience is key.
Maybe right now, or even within the next thirty days, we could get some bargains. I think SPY could drop down to 1740.00 so there is no hurry….but you want to be prepared to act.
Floating rate loans are at the top of the buy list. They are strong and hopefully you have small positions. Pennantpark Floating Rate Capital PFLT is a Business Development Company that is at $13.91 and you could buy today…offers 7.5%. You could purchase up to 4% of the portfolio. BKLN is another choice at 4%.

This blog discusses dividend paying investments that I find appropriate for myself…..and for investors seeking dividends and income. I am not an investment professional. You must do your own research before buying any position. All gains or losses that you realize are based on your choices.
